Juniper Acres raid turns up stolen pickups, felon’s gun
Crook County sheriff’s deputies and U.S. Forest Service law enforcement raided a property in the off-the-grid Juniper Acres subdivision south of Prineville on Monday, recovering two stolen pickup trucks, stolen mail and a felon’s gun, officials said.
A stolen motorcycle was removed days earlier, they added.
Sheriff's patrol and parole/probation deputies had been investigating several reports of burglaries and thefts in Juniper Acres between Nov. 1-13, Sgt. Jake Childers said.
Three people were arrested, two believed to be involved in the thefts. Childers said deputies have identified other suspects and are working to recover more stolen items.
The sheriff's office thanked alert Juniper Acres residents who stepped forward and provided valuable information to help keep their community safe.
