BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Helping people is what Bend Police community service officers do every day. But sometimes, they also help animals in need of assistance, as in a flock of 10 ducklings trapped in a storm drain.

Two CSOs responded Thursday to the report of the little ducklings needing a hand, the department said in a Friday Facebook post.

“They were able to fish them all out and reunite them with their mom,” the department said.

Bend PD thanked Bend Public Works for their assistance as well.
