A look at our new, free ‘Open4Biz’ page

NewsChannel 21's Jessie Foster introduces you to our new 'Open4Biz' page, a place where any Central Oregon business - not just restaurants - can share and update their current hours and information, for free, and others can look up that info from a map or search box.

It's all at: https://bend.open4biz.us/ -- you can get there from the Shop tab atop all pages, from the slide-out menu on the left side of the page under the Shop category, and a large ad in the red coronavirus area on the home page.

It's also now available in the menu on NewsChannel 21's iPhone and Android apps.

However you get there, a map will appear on your screen, dotted with white icons that represent different restaurants and services still open.

You can zoom in on the map or type in which establishment you’re looking for in the search bar. That will take you to a listing of all the eateries or service industries still open in any town in Central Oregon.

Once you click on the specific business you’re looking for, you’ll be transferred to a new browser page that lists the businesses’ location, hours, menu, and details for pick-up or delivery options.

On the other hand, if you own a business and would like people to know you’re open, it’s free and easy to list your establishment.

In the middle of the “Open4Biz” page, you will find a blue button that’s labeled “click here to get started”. On this page, you’ll submit all the information about your business such as new hours, price range, frequently asked questions, and what your business is doing differently in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Please update your information if anything changes.

This is free to use and NewsChannel 21’s way of trying to help Central Oregon navigate this difficult time.
