Oregon DHS trying to meet rising demand for services

As the need for SNAP, TANF, and health benefits rises due to the coronavirus pandemic, state employees are trying to keep up with the number of applications.

DHS currently allows employees to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, to help meet the demand. April Munks with the Oregon DHS said during this time, the state encourages you to apply for health benefits and food stamps online, instead of in person.
