PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) — A 65-year-old Prineville man, Rocky Lee Klein, was arrested Tuesday, May 12, 2026, on SE Juniper Canyon Road on suspicion of selling methamphetamine. He faces charges of unlawful delivery and possession of methamphetamine and driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII).

The arrest followed a short-term investigation by the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement team and the Prineville Police Department. The investigation determined Klein was distributing large amounts of methamphetamine in the Prineville area.

Prineville Police officers conducted a traffic stop on Klein's 1999 green Toyota Tacoma at approximately 10:45 a.m. on May 12.

Deschutes County Sheriff's Office Drug Detection K9 Dozer was deployed during the stop and alerted to the odor of drugs in the vehicle. Officers obtained a search warrant and found approximately 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine, a scale and drugs packaged for sale during the subsequent search of the vehicle.

During the traffic stop, officers also conducted a DUII investigation and determined Klein was driving while impaired. He was lodged at the Crook County Jail on the charges.
