‘Please be patient’: Oregon DMV says printer issue slowing service at offices, likely to continue into next week
SALEM, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Oregon DMV offices have been experiencing slowdowns in services due to intermittent delays with their printers, officials said Friday.
"That means your visit may take longer than usual, and we appreciate your patience while we work to fix the problem," which is expected to continue into next week, the agency said Friday afternoon.
"The issue began intermittently this week and has been hard to diagnose," DMV said. "Our technical staff is working with Microsoft and state computer system technicians to find and fix the problem. It is not related to the photo system software problem we experienced last week."
As of Friday afternoon, DMV said the issue continued to slow services at offices.
"Please plan for extra time if you visit a DMV office, as this issue will likely continue into next week," officials said. "Please be patient with our staff while we work on solving the problem."
