Tall, hazardous trees to be removed along Hwy. 126E east of Vida; ODOT urges motorists to plan ahead
VIDA, Ore. (KTVZ) – Some tall, hazardous trees that pose a risk to motorists will be removed along state Highway 126E east of Vida starting this week, and the Oregon Department of Transportation is urging drivers to plan ahead the rest of the month.
ODOT says it’s working with Oregon State Parks to remove the streets along a stretch of highway three miles east of Vida.
Starting this Wednesday, crews plan to work from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday until the end of May.
Motorists can expect shoulder and lane closures as needed, with flaggers helping direct traffic.
“Drive carefully through the work zone,” ODOT said, as “our equipment will mostly be in the westbound lane.”
