(Update: Teen found in Madras, back home safe)

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) – A 14-year-old Redmond girl reported missing and endangered by police in a public plea for information was found Thursday night in Madras and has been safely returned home, police said Friday morning.

Redmond Police had said earlier Thursday they were actively looking for Lilly Reyes, who had left home against her parent’s wishes and whose cellphone was turned off.

Lt. Eric Beckwith said that around 8 p.m. Thursday, Redmond Police detectives, assisted by the Madras Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, located Reyes in the Northeast Seventh and Oak streets block in Madras.

“Lilly was returned to her home and is safe,” Beckwith said in the update.

“The circumstances leading to Lilly being transported to Madras are currently under investigation,” the lieutenant said. He added that an adult male who apparently picked the teen up, as police earlier reported, "has been identified and is involved in the investigation."

"Redmond detectives would like to thank MPD and JCSO for their assistance in locating Lilly," Beckwith said. "RPD would also like to thank media partners for broadcasting the request for public assistance."

Earlier, police said Reyes had last been seen around 3:45 a.m. on Wednesday at a friend’s house.

“After leaving her friend’s house, it is believed Lilly was picked up by an adult male,” Beckwith said Thursday, adding that investigators were "working to confirm this information and locate Lilly.”
