Sisters, ORE. (KTVZ) --The Sisters Library was standing room only for a legislative town hall with Senator Anthony Broadman and Representative Emerson Levy.

They held the second in a series of three legislative town halls on Saturday. Since it was so packed, the senator and representative decided to hold 2 back-to back 45-minute sessions.

Residents had the opportunity to voice concerns, ask questions, and engage directly with their local legislators.

They discussed a variety of topics including the current wildfire hazard maps, transportation, and firefighting resources.

“So right now we have to fight to make sure that we have the firefighting resources in the federal government that will keep our community safe." said Broadman. "The federal government has frozen hiring for roughly 15,000 wildland firefighters, and that's not a recipe for success as we enter on to what we know is going to be a really challenging fire season."

The final meeting with Senator Broadman, Representative Levy, and Jason Kropf will be held on Sunday, March 16th, at the downtown Bend Library, starting at 1 pm.
