Brightside Animal Shelter raises funds by hosting bingo at Blacksmith Public House
REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- People were shouting "bingo" at Blacksmith Public House, in Redmond, Sunday for Brightside Animal Shelter. The event was called "Bingo for Brighter Futures."
Brightside Animal Shelter meets once a month, at Blacksmith Public House, for four fun rounds of bingo.
50% of the winnings go back to the winner, and then 50% goes to Brightside. Proceeds will go towards supporting the shelters efforts and operations and all of its animals.
The shelter is home to around 50 animals, including cats and dogs. The event attracts both new visitors and long-time supporters.
"It's just great to see all of the supporters who show up every single Sunday, too," Savanah Wellman, Brightside Animal Center's Development and Volunteer Manager said.
"I mean, we have people who have started with us and they buy tickets every single month that we do this. So it means a lot to us and our furry friends."
If you want to bring a furry friend into your life, Brightside Animal Center is offering $75 dog adoptions starting now through the end of the month.
