Teenagers face consequences for shooting airsoft guns in Bend’s Old Mill District

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) Some Central Oregon teenagers are facing consequences after reports of them driving through Bend's Old Mill District and shooting airsoft-type rifles.

The incident occurred on April 18 and has resulted in at least one suspect receiving a lifetime ban from the Old Mill District.

Employees at the Old Mill filed a report with the Bend Police Department on April 19 at 9:30 a.m., detailing that a group of juveniles in a red lifted pickup truck had shot at two security guards. Bystanders also shared posts on Facebook about seeing a red lifted pickup truck.

The Bend Police Department confirmed the incident in a statement to KTVZ News saying "We received a call for service on April 19 at about 9:30 a.m. from employees at the Old Mill who reported that late on April 18 a group of juveniles in a red pickup truck shot at two security guards with either a paintball or BB gun. In addition, one of the people in the vehicle had a fire extinguisher which he was spraying intermittently. Officers have identified suspects involved. At least one of them has been trespassed for life from the Old Mill. Additional charges will be referred to juvenile justice."

At least one of the identified suspects has been issued a lifetime trespass ban from the Old Mill District.

Additional charges related to the incident will be referred to the juvenile justice system.
