BREAKING NEWS: 6 injured, including suspect, in stabbing at Foss High School in Tacoma

TACOMA, Wash. — Four students, a security guard and the suspect were injured in a stabbing at Foss High School in Tacoma on Thursday, according to Tacoma police.

The stabbing was reported around 1:38 p.m.

According to the Tacoma Fire Department, at least five people were injured and have been transported to local hospitals. MultiCare, which runs Mary Bridge and Tacoma General Hospital, confirmed to KING 5 they are receiving patients from the incident. 

Four victims are in serious or critical condition and two sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. 

The Tacoma Police Department confirmed a suspect is in custody. 

Foss High School remains on lockdown and parents are being notified.
