Bend Parade of Flags a Red, White and Blue salute to Central Oregon’s veterans

BEND, Ore (KTVZ)-- Early Monday morning, the Bend Heroes Foundation, Boy Scout Troop 25 and volunteers fanned out across downtown Bend installing nearly 300 flags in the traditional Bend Parade of Flags.

They gathered at 7 a.m. to begin placing the flags that flew over the U.S. Capitol.

The flags lined the Veterans Memorial Bridge on Newport Avenue and the streets of downtown Bend. The flags serve as a reminder of sacrifice and service for the citizens of Bend.
