In the 10th inning, Mountain View freshman star Ryder Carpenter shut down the Caldera Wolfpack on the mound and came to the plate to win it with an RBI single. The game was 5-5 in the ninth, and Caldera's Garet Dornhecker hit a 2-RBI double to take the lead. In the bottom of the ninth, Brady Kennedy answered. Kennedy drove in two runs and the game headed to extras. Carpenter finished it off on the mound and at the plate, and the Cougars improved to 7-1 in league play.
