Summit golf dominates the IMC championships and aim for fourth straight state title

SISTERS, Ore. (KTVZ) -- DRIVE. CHIP. PUTT. The IMC Golf Championships have wrapped, and the defending state champions, the Summit Storm, remain on top — again proving their dominance in Central Oregon high school golf.

Sophomore Bryden Ditty took home 1st place in the IMC Championship and capped off his season with a second-place finish in the overall 2025 league standings.

“So it definitely feels good to kind of get my revenge, you could say. And finally win one,” said Ditty.

He credited his success to the support system around him.

“It feels good! And I definitely wouldn't be able to do it without my great coaches — Mike and Andy — and my great teammates who are just always there for me, definitely helping me get better day by day,” Ditty added.

Ditty’s teammate, Bryce Grieb, continued his stellar season by finishing second in the championship and securing the title of top golfer in the league this year.

“It feels great! I mean, it's what we want to see, and when we can do it, it just feels good. We work so hard to just be the best players we can be,” said Grieb.

The Summit roster showcased its depth, with senior Rooks Maxwell tying for third in the championship. “Going into state, especially with all the boys, I think we’re in a good spot. Everyone’s playing well right now and hitting our stride. So I think it should be good,” said Maxwell.

In the premier group alongside Greib, the best from Bend and Mountain View also made their presence known.

Bend exchange student Gustav Kristofferson said, “Yeah. I mean, it's amazing. Been so much fun this whole season — played some amazing courses and with some amazing people. It's been really fun.”

Kristofferson capped off the season as the third-best golfer in the league, while Mountain View’s Grayson Moore tied for third place in the IMC Championships.

Moore said, “Feeling pretty good. I played well, but I'm excited that I get to go to state right off the first team to regionals. So I just gotta help the team out and make it to state.”

With regionals just around the corner, both individual standouts and powerhouse teams are gearing up for the final push.

Grieb said, “Yes, we are going to four-peat. We're just going into it with the same mentality every year: just go play golf, just like we normally do.”

The Summit Storm have once again dominated the IMC, setting their sights on a fourth consecutive state title. Regionals tee off next Monday, with the OSAA State Championship beginning May 19th.
