Six senior athletes at La Pine High School signed to compete at the collegiate level
La PINE, Ore. (KTVZ) – It was a night of pride and celebration at La Pine High School as six student-athletes officially committed to continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
The Signing Day ceremony recognized the hard work, dedication, and achievements of these seniors as they prepare to take the next step in their athletic and academic journeys:
- Lindsey Moulder – Volleyball, Blue Mountain Community College
- Gracie Looney – Track & Field (Discus), George Fox University
- Tag Deluca – Lacrosse, Flagler College
- Riley Flack, Devon Kerr, and Landyn Philpott – Wrestling, Southwestern Community College
Each athlete shared their excitement and reflections on reaching this milestone.
“I was really excited. Just being able to continue to play the sport that I love means so much to me,” said Lindsey Moulder. “I hope to be able to continue it for quite a few years.”
Gracie Looney reflected on an unexpected journey: “I actually didn’t think I was going to do discus at all after my middle school career. So it’s super cool to know I accomplished that and that I had coaches and family around me who supported me.”
Tag Deluca spoke about the dedication it took to get here: “It took a lot of years of hard work, continuous practice, and working at home too. I’m excited, it’ll be fun. I get to be on a great team, the coaches are amazing, and I’m just really excited.”
The evening served as a proud moment, not only for the athletes but also for their families, coaches, and the La Pine community, celebrating a major accomplishment that only a small percentage of high school athletes achieve.
Congratulations to all the seniors across Central Oregon taking their talents to the next level, an incredible and well-earned achievement!
