Winnipeg coach Maurice resigns, Lowry gets interim job

WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — Winnipeg Jets coach Paul Maurice has resigned in a surprise move in his ninth year with the team. The team says the move is effective immediately. Dave Lowry has been elevated to interim coach. The Jets have lost four of their last five games and are 13-11-5 after falling 5-2 to the Washington Capitals on Friday night.
