The Big Playback 3/2 Pt. 1: Summit dominates in playoffs first round; Mtn. View girls win nail-biter to head to the Elite 8
The Summit Storm continue to dominate the 5A field. The Storm kicked off the playoffs with a 80-54 victory over Canby. They head to Linfield for the Elite 8, where they take on their cross-town rival, the Mountain View Cougars. That game is at 1:30 PM on Wednesday.
The Mountain View girls had a tough first-round matchup. The Cougars took on the Crescent Valley Raiders Saturday and came out on top. Avery Andrews had a monster first half, leading the Cougars to a 58-54 win. Both the girls and boys basketball teams make it to the Elite 8 and face off against the No. 1 seed. The girls play at 1:30 on Thursday at Linfield University.
