Vertfest race goes virtual this year

Vertfest, a downhill ski, snowshoe and splitboard race at Mt. Bachelor hosted by the Central Oregon Avalanche Center, has gone 'virtual' this year, with competitors racing on their own time. The goal is to accumulate as many vertical feet as possible over the 9-day event, which begins Saturday. More details and to register at http://www.coavalanche.org.
