Much cooler temperatures

Happy Friday, Central Oregon!

Rain showers will likely settle in Friday night. Lows will be in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Northwest winds at 10-20 mph will stay gusty for much of the night.

This system will keep us chilly and rainy all weekend. Look for highs in the upper 50s Saturday and mid 50s Sunday. Lows will be dropping into the 30s.

Upper elevations like Crescent, Gilchrist, Chemult and La Pine will drop to and a little below freezing, so overnight snow showers are a definite possibility.

Take care now to protect sensitive plants and animals.

Monday will mark the beginning of a warming trend that will have us back in the mid 70s by Wednesday.

We can also expect a chance of scattered showers to stay with us through the middle of next week.
