Junior Forecaster: Raynie has the perfect weather name, but she enjoys the sunshine

Raynie is a third grade student at Oak Meadow Elementary School and enjoys math and art. Math is great for beginning meteorologists due to all the calculations and numbers involved with forecasting. She is also a fan of art, which is also important when you are building the graphics you need for your weather presentation.

Her outside activities include rollerblading as well as swimming. Raynie is not a fan of the cold conditions so here forecast of a warm up for the weekend suits her just fine.

Another cool activity for Raynie is tending to her chickens. They are still pretty young, but she enjoys watching them grow and can't wait until she can harvest some eggs for breakfast.

Interestingly enough, her sister's name is Stormy so there is quite the meteorologically named family to boast about her forecasting the weather today. Raynie did a great job and maybe in a few years, her sister Stormy will be a Junior Forecaster as well.
