Junior Forecaster: Future meteorologist Violet provides Central Oregon with the forecast

Violet is a huge fan of the weather, especially tornadoes. She admits that they are very scary, but also finds them fascinating. Her favorite event is the 1925 Tri-State tornado outbreak which moved through parts of Missouri, Illinois and Indiana, devastating the region.

Violet is heading into sixth grade at Sisters Middle School, she already has her sights on becoming a meteorologist. She would like to be a storm chaser when she is old enough and will continue to study math and other earth sciences before college.

She loves to go swimming to cool down in the summer is also a fan of Language Arts, but meteorology comes first.

If you notice, she has made an awesome fashion statement for back to school with portions of her hair dyed blue.
