Warmest day of the week

GOOD TUESDAY MORNING, EVERYONE...

As a little high pressure builds in over the region, we will get to enjoy a nice break between systems. Today promises to be the warmest day of the week, as highs reach the low 80's. Skies will stay sunny, and for a period through the late afternoon and early evening NW winds will get pretty gusty, at 10-20 mph. Breezes will become light out of the west after midnight. Lows will be in the 40's under mostly clear skies.

These sunny skies will stay with us through Wednesday and Thursday, and highs will stay in the upper 70's. Clouds that begin to build in Thursday night and Friday are the first indicators of a system that will keep us cool and rainy through the weekend.

Showers and possible thunderstorms will begin Friday night. By Saturday, we will see highs in the low 60's, accompanied by a 40-50% chance of rain showers. Highs will stay around 60 through Sunday and into next week. During that time, we will cling to a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Be aware that overnight lows will be in the low to mid 30's beginning Saturday night.
