Friday: Transition Day

-GOOD FRIDAY MORNING, EVERYONE...

The advance of a system that will serve as a bit of a spoiler for our weekend will thicken our clouds and step up the breezes today. Highs will be in the low to mid 70's and winds will turn NW at 10-15 mph with gusts to 20 mph. Rain showers will settle in tonight. Lows will be in the upper 30's to low 40's. NW winds at 10-20 mph will stay gusty for much of the night.

This system will keep us chilly and rainy all weekend. Look for highs in the upper 50's Saturday and mid 50's Sunday. Overnight lows will be dropping into the 30's. Upper elevations like Crescent, Gilchrist, Chemult and La Pine will drop to and a little below freezing, so overnight snow showers are a definite possibility. Take care now to protect sensitive plants and animals. Monday will mark the beginning of a warming trend that will have us back in the mid 70's by Wednesday. We can also expect a chance of scattered showers to stay with us through the middle of next week.
