Chance of snow, slightly below average temps

Happy Wednesday Central Oregon!

Our area is being influenced by an upper level trough, but most storm energy is directed towards California. We can expect light rain and snow mainly in the mountain areas and higher terrain.

Temperatures will be dropping into the 20s tonight under cloudy skies. Light northwest winds will change direction becoming southwest after midnight. We could see some slight snow showers moving into the night.

Thursday brings chances for some slight snow showers. Conditions will be partly cloudy that day with highs ranging in the 30s to 40s.

A weak upper level low pressure system that’s been moving through the region will exit the region into Southern Idaho by Thursday evening and is bringing light but consistent snow to the Cascades over the next few days.

We can expect highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s the rest of the week. This is a little below where we should be for February.
