Drying out today, sunny on Easter Sunday

Today will be cooler than normal with highs reaching the low 50s, falling a couple degrees shy of the normal high of 54. There will be plenty of sunshine mixed with some cloud cover with the precipitation continuing to move away from the region.

Winds will be from the northeast today and will help scour out the clouds and rain. The persistent rain and snow last night left some wet roads early, but the wind and sun will help dry the surfaces.

Easter Sunday will be sunny and dry with winds from the north at around 15 – 20 mph. After starting out near 30, the highs will reach the middle 50s by early afternoon. If you are attending a early morning “sunrise” service on Easter Sunday, prepare for some crisp conditions.

Monday and Tuesday will be dry and sunny as well, but milder. Afternoon highs are expected to be in the middle 60s Monday and the middle to upper 70s Tuesday.

Don’t get too used to the “Spring-like” weather, cooler air is slated to arrive by the end of next week.

Enjoy the sunshine this weekend and stay safe.
