Heat wave coming our way soon

Happy Tuesday Central OR!

More dry and warm conditions are expected today through Wednesday as high pressure takes over the region. Afternoon highs will mostly be in the 80s.

We're expecting mostly clear skies heading into the night with most areas dropping into the 40s.

Get ready for the first true heat wave of the summer. We'll see highs in the 90s on the Fourth of July and we'll continue to get hotter as the holiday weekend arrives. Triple digit highs are possible on both Saturday and Sunday.

According to long-range models, the period of high heat in the 90s could last until July 13th. These temperatures could lead to health issues or high fire danger. Be cautious in the heat over the next few days.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
