Dry and warming trend begins but it won’t last for long
Yesterday’s rain was very underwhelming. A lot of us saw some darker clouds, it probably felt a little misty outside, but only a couple areas received trace amounts. Rain was mostly immeasurable across Central Oregon. We won’t see rain again until the second half of our weekend.
We start on our warming trend today as a ridge of high pressure builds to our south. Highs today will top out in the mid to upper 50s under mostly sunny skies. We will see temperatures progressively rise over the next few days with Saturday being our warmest day with highs in the mid to upper 60s. There is even a chance to breach the 70s. We'll break this trend when temperatures drop again Sunday.
We are dry today and tomorrow but moisture begins to move in as we enter the weekend. Expect increasing cloud cover on Saturday with rain starting in the overnight and early morning hours into Sunday.
Snow is in the forecast! A decent amount of snowfall will blanket our mountains at the top of next week. We could see a bit of a wintry mix in the high desert. There will be a break in precipitation on Tuesday afternoon as a ridge swiftly moves in and out over the course of the day, but snow and rain will return again Wednesday. We’ll see this pattern on and off through next week.
We only have one more week until Halloween–and only one more week until the pumpkin scavenger hunt is up! Keep hunting. Have a great day today.
