On and off wet weather for the High Desert

KTVZ

A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect for the Cascades at 5pm today. Areas above 5000 feet can expect 4 to 6” of snow overnight. Periods of moderate to heavy snowfall could make travel difficult through the passes.

Tonight, temperatures will dip into the 20s and 30s across the region. Lower elevations will experience a mix of rain and snow.

We'll get a bit of a break from the wet weather heading into Sunday, though temperatures will stay chilly, with highs only reaching the upper 40s. A bit of sunshine might peek through as well.

The recent rain showers have been very beneficial! Bend saw over an inch of rain yesterday, offering some relief from the moderate drought that’s persisted through the majority of fall.

Expect wet weather to linger into Monday.

Remember to turn your clocks back! Daylight saving time ends at 2am Sunday. Yay for an extra hour of sleep!
