Cool and clear through the holiday weekend
After some rain and snow early in the week, we are going to remain dry and cool for the remainder of the week. Mostly sunny skies will return today with highs in the 30s and 40s. There is a chance for patchy fog early in the day. It will be a chilly morning, and you’ll likely have to scrape your windshield, but other than that, your travel should be relatively easy.
If you are planning any travel across the state or over the mountains to visit friends and family, you shouldn’t run into any major issues. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions are expected through the mountain passes and no more snow is in the immediate forecast. In fact, the entire state is looking pretty dry through the holiday weekend!
If you are traveling out of state for Thanksgiving, the only area that could see long travel delays due to weather is the New England area where a Nor’easter will hit on Thursday.
We’ll see a number of chilly nights ahead, in the teens and low 20s, as this drier weather takes over. Other than that, highs just below normal, mostly clear skies–a quiet week.
Happy Wednesday, have a great day, and safe travels.
