Wet pattern for the first few days of 2025

Happy New Year Central Oregon!

We’re kicking off the first day of 2025 with some snow covered roads, so take it slow on your morning commute. Reminder, that Winter Weather Advisory is set to last until 4pm.

We could see around an inch or so from Lava Butte north along 97, but southern and western Deschutes and western Jefferson Counties could see 2-4" by mid-day. The snow totals are expected to be 3 - 4” along the east face of the Cascades and through the mountain passes with higher amounts in pockets near the crest.

The new year starts on a wet note, with a wintry mix possible late this afternoon before skies begin to clear. Today's highs will range from the mid 30s to low 40s across the region.

Overnight lows will be dropping into the 20s and 30s.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, expect widespread light rain showers, transitioning to off-and-on rain through at least Saturday in Central Oregon.

Sunday marks the beginning of several days of dry, chilly weather.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
