Chilly and dry on Sunday

A cooling trend will continue through the weekend and into Monday. High and low temps are hovering around 10 degrees below normal.

This chilly pattern is driven by a polar vortex centered over the Upper Midwest. This system is funneling a north-northwest flow of cold air into the Pacific Northwest.

It's time to bring out the warmer coats. Overnight lows are dropping into the teens and single digits, with La Pine in the sub-zero temperatures.

Highs tomorrow are topping out in the 30s and that's where we'll remain through early next week. We should be near normal by Tuesday or Wednesday.

We'll remain dry for the next few days, but it's possible we could see some precipitation by the end of the work week.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
