Kicking off the week dry but rain and snow will soon return
After another chilly weekend, temperatures today will get back to near normal with highs in the low 40s. Skies will be clear and winds will be light, gusting around 10mph. Lows tonight will be in the teens.
There is a small chance for patchy freezing fog this morning due to the calm winds and stagnant air. Chances are slim due to dry air, but stay alert just in case. There is a Stagnant Air Advisory out for areas along 97. It will expire this evening, but avoid outdoor burning until then, because air quality can be affected poorly.
We have a ridge of high pressure overhead this week which will help keep our skies mostly clear and allow us to gradually heat up throughout the week. We’ll see temperatures get back into the 50s by mid-week.
You can expect dry, stable weather until the end of the week. Snow and rain will finally return on Friday and we’ll enter February on the wet side, feeling much more like winter.
Happy Monday. Have a good day today.
