Temperatures are gradually rising this week as wet weather continues

Icy roads are possible this morning, be precautious if you’re hitting the roads early today.

Highs today will be near normal, in the low to mid 40s. Lows tonight will drop into the low to mid 20s.

Rain and snow will fall this morning. Plan for a wintry mix and rain north of Bend and our higher elevations to see more of a mix and snow. Snow accumulation in La Pine and Sunriver will be less than an inch. Precipitation will continue off and on into the afternoon and taper off into the evening.

A Winter Storm Warning is active for Cascades, the eastern slopes, and southern Deschutes County until 4pm today. Snow will continue heavily along the mountains and the snow and mixed precipitation in the high desert will make for icy roads.

A Winter Weather Advisory is active until 4pm for the Ochoco and John Day Highlands where 1-3” inches could fall by the end of the day.

We’ll start Tuesday dry but rain and some snow will begin late in the day as a warm front passes.

Look for temperatures to heat up a couple degrees each day so that by the weekend, many of us are in the 50s again.

Happy Monday, have a good day.
