Spring-like temperatures with chances for rain this week

We are starting the week dry, partly cloudy, and comfortable. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 60s this afternoon. Winds will get breezy in the mid afternoon, but otherwise quiet weather today.

Tomorrow, temperatures will drop back down to near normal, into the upper 50s and low to mid 60s. There is a chance for a passing shower in the first half of the day, but skies will clear into the evening.

Through the second half of the week, plan for warm weather! Temperatures will be jumping into the 60s and 70s, with the chance for a few areas to hit their first 80-degree day of the year on Thursday. Central Oregon will be sitting happily underneath a ridge of high pressure, so if you like late spring weather, that’s what we’re in for! Temperatures drop below normal on Saturday and Sunday.

Rain showers return Friday in the high desert and we’ll see a couple wet days before we get the sunshine back. There is a chance for isolated thunderstorms to develop Friday afternoon. For those of you who are looking to get in a few more mountain runs before the season is up, there is a chance for some mountain snow this weekend. I'll be tracking this throughout the week and let you know of any changes as we approach the weekend.

There’s a little something for everyone this week. Happy Monday and have a great week!
