Warm temperatures and sunny skies this week

Quiet, dry, and stable conditions this week mean that it’s a "temperature forecast" kind-of-week. Sunshine and warm temperatures are expected all week.

Today, temperatures are in the mid to upper 60s. Winds will be a bit breezy this afternoon, gusting around 20mph. Skies are clear.

A ridge of high pressure is building into our region through the next few days, which means warming temperatures. Afternoon highs will climb into the low 70s tomorrow and the mid to upper 70s Wednesday. A few areas could tip into the 80s.

Overnight Wednesday into early Thursday morning, the flow will be coming from the southwest, which will bring in some moisture–not a lot, but some. There is a slight chance for rain showers along the Cascades, but I’m not expecting any rain in the high desert. The next chance for rain comes Sunday, so enjoy this week of sunshine and warm temperatures.

Temperatures remain above normal all week, but Friday and Saturday will be especially warm, with many areas getting into the low 80s.

Happy Monday! Have a great week.
