Slight chance for a passing shower today with better rain chances this weekend

Temperatures today are in the low 60s, which is a little below normal for this time of year. We’ll stay below normal until next week.

Skies will be cloudy today. There is a chance for a light passing shower beginning around dinner time tonight or just after. Little rain is expected, but you might notice a few raindrops on your windshield.

Friday will be dry and partly to mostly cloudy. The next chance for rain is Saturday. A low pressure will drop in and bring scattered showers and the slight chance of isolated thunderstorms. The Storm Prediction Center has put Central Oregon under the general risk for storms on Saturday. Because of this, we’ll call it a Local Alert Weather Day, just so you can be a little extra aware of the potential for some inconvenient weather.

Rain will taper off through Sunday. Next week temperatures will jump back to near normal, even a little warmer at times.

Happy Thursday. Have a nice day.
