Passing shower early Thursday, warmer over the holiday weekend

ktvz

Some wet weather lingers over the Cascades tonight, but we are beginning to see a warming pattern.  The cooler than normal weather will be a thing of the past for a spell as we get about normal tomorrow.

Wednesday will start out with sunny skies and highs in the low 70s most locations in the High Desert.  Late in the day there will be some cloud cover ahead of some light rain overnight.  The rain will pass through the region after the midnight hour Thursday and linger into the mid-morning time frame.

After the light rain in the morning Thursday, there will be partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the middle 60s

After the rain cooled day Thursday, we will begin a steady warm up heading into the holiday weekend. Highs on Friday will be in the upper 60s, just about right for this time of year, before we get even warmer this weekend.

Saturday will see the mercury in the thermometer reach the middle 70s under mostly sunny skies and a bit of a breeze.  The latest models are pushing the highs into the low to middle 80s Sunday as we see a thin ridge pushes up into Canada for a brief period.

Memorial Day may see a slight chance for a rain shower near the mountains, but at the moment, confidence is not all that high in the rain making it to the ground.
