Chance for overnight rain but then a dry pattern takes over heading into the holiday weekend

Skies will start clear today but clouds will increase through the afternoon. We have a slight chance for some rain starting around dinner time or in the few hours following. Rain chances will continue into early Thursday morning but then taper off. A partial clearing will follow, allowing for drier conditions to take over for the weekend.

Temperatures today are getting back into the mid 60s and low 70s but will cool again to below normal on Thursday. Look for highs tomorrow to drop back into the upper 50s and low 60s.

If you’re wondering when the heat is coming back, you only have to wait a few days! A ridge of high pressure is moving in just in time for Memorial Day weekend. Warmer temperatures are expected this weekend and into next week. I’m tracking highs in the 70s and 80s at times. There is a slim chance for a little rain Monday, but the likelihood is looking pretty low right now. It will be a busy weekend in Central Oregon with the nice weather and the holiday bringing in people from around the region. Plan ahead!

Have a great Wednesday!
