Mild and breezy today, rain and snow possible Sunday
Bend, Ore (KTVZ). Today begins with some showers lingering over the east face of the Cascades, near Sisters and western Jefferson County. This wet pattern is not expected to last much past sunrise, so our area will be partly cloudy most of the day.

The winds are going to be in the 15 - 20 mph range early, then relax by mid-morning. Another big weather feature today will be the temperatures, highs will be in the upper 40s to low 50s. Normal highs this time of year only reach the low 40s.
Showers are possible overnight Saturday into Sunday as the wet pattern returns. The cold conditions overnight will allow for some snow, but not much will accumulate since we have been so mild. The skies should stay cloudy, and a few showers are expected to linger through the day. The region is dealing with a persistent pattern of precipitation into next week. Highs will be in the 50s Sunday afternoon, so mostly rain is expected once the sun rises.

Monday will be another hit or miss day with the showers. Temperatures in the middle 50s and breezy at times. The Valley, Cascades and Coastal Range will see moderate to heavy rain. This will be the beginning of a very rainy pattern west of the High Desert. In the Tri Counties there will be periods of rain through the day.
Tuesday will be the wettest day of the new work week with a flow of moisture streaming in from the Pacific. An atmospheric river set-up will dominate the Pacific Northwest starting Tuesday and the coastal and mountain regions will see potentially flooding rains.
Soaking and minor street flooding may occur next week over east of the Cascades as the cumulative effect of several days of rain will take its toll. Wednesday and Thursday are still wet as the “river” lingers.
Highs are expected to hit the 60s on Wednesday.
