Dry Thursday ahead with comfortable afternoon temperatures

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - We’re tracking a beautiful spring day across Central Oregon with mostly sunny skies and dry conditions. Highs will climb into the mid 60s to low 70s this afternoon, along with some breezy winds developing later in the day.

Friday starts off mostly sunny, but clouds will gradually increase through the day. High temperatures will stay in the 60s.

Cooler weather returns this weekend, with highs dropping back into the 50s. That’s slightly below average for this time of year, when we typically see highs in the mid to upper 60s.

A low pressure system dropping south from Canada into the Pacific Northwest on Saturday will bring rain and snow showers to the mountains. Across the High Desert, most locations are expected to stay mainly dry as the Cascades soak up much of the moisture.

Sunday brings more sunshine, with highs staying in the upper 50s.

Looking ahead to next week, high pressure builds back in, bringing warmer and drier weather to Central Oregon. Temperatures rebound into the upper 60s Monday, then warm into the mid to upper 70s by Tuesday and Wednesday.
