Very warm and dry week ahead, high fire danger

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Central Oregon will remain dry and very warm this week, with wildfire danger remaining our top concern. An Air Quality Alert is in effect for Jefferson and Crook counties today.

Highs will reach the upper 80s, with breezy winds developing this afternoon. As of Monday morning, no Red Flag Warnings are in effect for Central Oregon.

Overnight temperatures will dip into the 40s and 50s.

Don’t expect much change Tuesday or Wednesday. Temperatures will remain in the upper 80s under mostly clear skies, though some areas could see patchy smoke in the sky.

The warmest days of the week will be Thursday and Friday with the low to mid 90s.

We’ll cool down slightly this weekend, with highs in the upper 80s Saturday before dropping into the mid 80s Sunday. The pattern is looking dry and sunny all week with no rain or storms for now.
