Cooling trend this week, but still warm

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Skies are mostly clear this morning, but lingering wildfire smoke may lead to poor air quality in some areas. Conditions should improve throughout the day.

This week will not be as hot as last week, but temperatures will remain warm. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s today under sunny skies, with similar conditions expected Tuesday.

Overnight lows will dip into the 40s and 50s with some patchy smoke possible.

Temperatures will settle into the mid 80s by the middle of the week, which is near normal for this time of year. Mostly sunny and dry conditions will continue.

A shift in the weather pattern could bring increasing clouds and a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms Friday.

Wet weather will remain possible through the weekend, but confidence is still low. Saturday and Sunday highs will reach the mid to upper 80s.
