Hot pattern, temperatures peak Tuesday

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - A building ridge of high pressure is bringing above normal temperatures into the middle of the week.

Highs will top out in the upper 80s to low 90s today. Expect a mix of sunshine and haze.

There is a very low chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms in Eastern Oregon today. Any dry lightning could spark new wildfires.

Skies will remain mostly clear overnight, with lows falling into the 40s and 50s. Some patchy smoke may develop.

Temperatures will peak Tuesday in the mid 90s before dropping back into the upper 80s and low 90s Wednesday. Hot, dry conditions are keeping fire danger elevated, with increasing winds potentially worsening conditions by midweek.

Seasonable temperatures will move in by the end of the week as the high shifts off to the east. We will be in the mid 80s on Thursday and Friday under mostly sunny skies.

We'll keep the sunshine over the weekend with highs in the low 80s on Saturday and Sunday.
