One more cold night before warming trend

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Howdy all! Happy Monday to you. The High Desert is in for another chilly night, with temperatures dropping to freezing or below for most communities by early Tuesday morning. Due to clear skies and light winds, temperatures will fall quickly overnight, creating a risk of frost, especially in rural areas.

After a cold start tomorrow, temperatures will gradually warm throughout the workweek. Highs will climb from the mid 60s tomorrow into the 70s by Wednesday, with mid-to-upper 70s possible Thursday and Friday. Skies will remain dry, offering plenty of sunshine and a return to warmer-than-normal October weather.

The warming trend will also reduce the chances for frost after tonight as overnight temperatures become milder (in the high 30s and low 40s). Still, gardeners should consider protecting sensitive plants before temperatures drop overnight.

Stay warm folks! The rest of the week is looking pretty great!
