Snow Report: January 10th

Yesterdays snowfall was significant, providing new snow at many resorts, even causing temporary closures in some cases due to over a foot of new snowfall. Also, a Blizzard Warning remains in place along the east slopes of the Cascades and including the cities of La Pine and Sunriver until 4pm Wednesday.  This is due to expected additional snow accumulations of 10-23 inches.  Winds will gust as high as 55mph blowing snow, limiting visibility.  Blizzard conditions are defined as winds in excess of 35mph blowing fallen or falling snow and limiting visibility for a period of 3 hours or more.  Travel should be restricted to emergencies only
