Snow Report: March 12th

Snow levels will be dropping throughout the day resulting in a rain/snow mix developing across Central Oregon by the late afternoon into the evening, while the remainder of the lower elevations will see rain showers. While light to moderate snow showers are anticipated across the mountains through tonight, a period of heavy snow showers coinciding with an influx of moisture inland is expected through the morning along the Cascade crest. The heaviest accumulations are expected above the pass levels along the Cascades, however, confidence is high (80-95%) in snow accumulations exceeding 6 inches at the pass level over the next 24 hours, while confidence is lower (~40%) for accumulations exceeding 8 inches.
