Sunday marks the final day of the season at Mt. Bachelor, wrapping up one of the shortest seasons on record.

A late-season storm delivered roughly two feet of fresh snow from this past Wednesday evening into Thursday morning, creating what many staff and visitors called the best day on the slopes all year — a welcome parting gift from Mother Nature.

On closing day, high winds shut down the Summit lift, with temperatures climbing into the low 50s.

Meanwhile, Timberline Lodge remains open in limited areas when weather allows, reporting an 80-inch base — less than half of its typical 164 inches for this time of year.

With most ski areas now closed for the season, you are encouraged to check for closures and conditions before heading out.
