ODOT Region 4 construction update: Week of June 18

Here is the ODOT Region 4 weekly construction update for the week of June 18:

The Oregon Department of Transportation is committed to providing a safe, efficient transportation system. ODOT invests in Oregon’s future through roadway improvement projects. The following projects are located in ODOT’s Region 4 encompassing Central Oregon from The Dalles to Klamath Falls on the east side of the Cascades.

All work is dependent on weather conditions and schedules are subject to change.

Where traffic is routed through or around a work zone, pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will also be provided alternate routes through the work zone.

Crook County

OR 126 @ Tom McCall Roundabout – Alex Hodge Construction will be paving the connecting roads at night, as well as performing blasting on Monday night. There will be one-way traffic and flaggers, and delays of up to 20 minutes. The Contractor will also be working on planter strips and bioretention ponds, and excavating for light pole bases during the day. No traffic impacts are expected during the day.

Deschutes County

US 97: Sunriver Interchange to OR 31 – Roy Houck Construction will continue excavating and installing sidewalks and ramps on the westside of US 97 in La Pine. There will be shoulder closures and slow traffic.

US 20 @ Barclay Drive – Knife River will be constructing a trail along US 20 southeast of the roundabout. Minimal traffic impacts are expected.

Jefferson County

US 97: US 26 Jct. to NW 10th Street (Madras – Terrebonne) – Knife River will be grinding and inlay paving NB 97 north of the Crooked River Bridge Sunday through Thursday nights. There will be one-way traffic with flaggers and pilot cars between 7 pm and 7 am, with traffic delays of up to 20 minutes.

US 97: Spanish Hollow Creek & Trout Creek Bridges – Stellar J Construction is performing bridge replacement work. There may be one-way traffic with flaggers anytime. After the flagging is complete the construction zone will be switched over and controlled with signals.

Klamath County

OR 140: Buck Creek Bridge – Marcum & Sons Construction is beginning work to replace the Buck Creek Bridge (MP 22). Traffic will be controlled by a temporary signal and limited to a single lane. Work will take place Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Drivers can expect delays up to 10 minutes.

OR 240: Greensprings Interchange to Klamath Falls/Malin Hwy – Rocky Mountain Construction will be completing shoulder work and installing signs. Minor delays are expected.

US 97: Algoma Road to Miller Island Road – Rocky Mountain Construction will be completing barrier, guardrail, earthwork and shoulder work at night between the hours of 7pm and 7am. The work zone will be controlled with flaggers and pilot cars. Drivers can expect delays up to 20 minutes.

US 97: Spring Creek Hill to Modoc Point – Rocky Mountain Construction will be paving between the hours of 7pm and 7am, Sunday night through Friday morning. The work zone will be controlled with flaggers and pilot cars. Drivers can expect delays up to 20 minutes.

Sherman County

US 97: Spanish Hollow Creek & Trout Creek Bridges – Stellar J Construction is completing drilled shaft construction access on US 97 over Spanish Hollow Creek. There may be one-way traffic with flaggers Sunday through Saturday anytime.

US 97: Shaniko to Trout Creek – High Desert Aggregate and Paving will be onsite performing culvert replacement across US 97. The contractor will have a single lane closure in place and the construction site will be controlled with 24 hour flagging until Friday June 22nd. Expect 5-10 minute delays.

Wasco County

I-84: Hood River to Tower Road – Oregon Mainline Paving will be onsite this week the night of Thursday June 21st to layout payment striping and there will be single lane closures in the East and West Bound Directions. Expect no delays.

Wheeler County

Fossil Heritage Trail – Construction will take place Monday through Friday during daytime hours. The contractor may hold traffic on flagging operations for up to 20 minutes. Use alternate routes and expect delays when traveling through the listed areas of construction.

Various

Region 4 Curve Warning Signs – Baker Rock Resources will be installing sign bases on the Ochoco Highway (US 26). There may be one-way traffic with flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes.
