OSU football’s Beaver State Tour plans Bend stop

KTVZ

The Oregon State football team’s tradition of traveling to Bend for preseason camp will continue with first-year head coach Jonathan Smith, he announced Tuesday. The team will visit Central Oregon Aug. 21-23 as the final stop to this year’s five-location Beaver State Tour.

The Beavers will stay at the OSU-Cascades Campus and practice for the third straight year at Summit High School.

“Our team enjoys the chance to travel to other communities around the state (OSU held an April practice at Mountainside High School in Beaverton) to embrace Beaver Nation and we are excited about the return to Bend,” Smith said.

The Beavers will hold a game-type format scrimmage Aug. 23 at Noon that will be open to the public. An autograph session will be held immediately after the scrimmage with free posters available.

Season tickets are now available for the six-game home football schedule that includes Oregon, USC, California, Washington State, Arizona and Southern Utah. For information on the benefits of being a season ticket holder or renewal incentives, please access OSUBeavers.com or call 541-737-2050.
